Columbus Fire is coming tomorrow night at 8:00PM PST. We are very excited about this series with one of our nations credited departments. This department does a lot to protect it's members including the design of their stations.

One of the stations where we filmed was Station 17; here is a photo of Old 17 where firefighters lived above the apparatus and thier deadly and cancer causing fumes.

Here is new 17, as you can see, they keep the apparatus on the outside of the core of the station keeping the firefighers safe from the harmful fumes.

Dear Battalion Viewers:

We are sorry to report that four Detroit Firefighters were injured In building collapse.
Detroit Mayor Bing at Receiving Hospital (WDIV photo) Fire officials at the scene of a fire Friday morning on Detroit’s east side said six firefighters were hurt battling the blaze. Fire officials said four were in critical condition and two were in fair condition, with one firefighter having been paralyzed and another needing to be intubated.

Our hearts and souls go out to these brave firefighters and their families as well as the members of the Detroit Fire Department.

Dear Battalion Viewers,

This week’s webisode with Central Pierce Fire & Rescue is a great training exercise for the smaller rural fire departments that find themselves short-handed at times.

If you have been following this series, will have heard that they started as a single engine company. They had two fire stations, two firefighters and one phone hooked to both stations.
