Dear Battalion Viewers,

This week’s webisode with Central Pierce Fire & Rescue is a great training exercise for the smaller rural fire departments that find themselves short-handed at times.

If you have been following this series, will have heard that they started as a single engine company. They had two fire stations, two firefighters and one phone hooked to both stations.

Station 52 in Olathe Kansas and the crew from Quint 52 and the B.C. on-scene

Battalion Viewers,

Today, we are filming at Station 52, with the crew of Quint 52 and Acting Battalion Chief John Myers.

We arrive on the scene of a two-car MVA with a type green patient who suffered a back injury. The patient was imobilized and transported to a nearby hospital.

Columbus Division of Fire Training Academy - The recruits are in thier fifth week of training - today - they train at the tower. We thank the Columbus Police Department Air Operations for allowing us to fly with them today.

Medic 17 from Columbus Fire prepares a patient for transport

Sunday: 5:32 - We arrived on scene with Rescue 17 to a mulitiple auto accident; one patient complains of back and neck pains. The patient is being packaged up for transport to Mount Carmel Hospital for evaluation.
