Production Crew's blog
Filming began in late July, the first call up once the cameras were rolling on the first night, was a medical call and the Cortez Firefighters were first on-scene and assisted in packaging up their patient and transferring her into the ambulance. Next, the first call of the morning was a motorcycle rider that ran into the back of a compact vehicle, the driver of the motorcycle sustained injuries.
We continue filming our series in Colorado with the Cortez Fire Protection District in one of the most beautiful part of our country rich in heritiage. We will be filming twenty-four hours
July 4th was very quiet, only one medical call, but, Sunday morning, the first call of the day was a single vehicle roll-over; the patient had to be transported by air.
On July 3rd, we began filming our brand new series with Calaveras Fire Protection District in the foothills of the Sierra Mountains in California.
Production started with us meeting up with Battalion Chief Kym Olsen from Calaveas at the Lake Fire in San Bernadino were he was deployed as part of the Incident Command Team.
We met up with the Chief at the local airport where he was meeting up with the helicoptor scene assetment pilot.
Hi, I am one of the camera guys for the series. Actually, I am the Director of Principal Photography, but what's in a name. Anyway, this photo is of showing the Deputy of the Valleyview Fire Department in Alberta Canada, how to use our Canon 60d camera so as he could be 2nd camera on this remote shoot. You will see his work soon.
Much more to come with photos and stories about filming across North America.
