This morning, Chief Kelleher and the crew clean the rigs, the get thrashed in the winter; a call comes in, it's supporting a Hazmat Incident at NASA; it's by invitation only, and even then, you can't just walk in.
The Calaveras Consolidated Fire District is located in the foot hills of the Serra Mountains in Northern California where there are many lakes and streams in the 1st due area of this department. The Chief is young and progressive. He came in and sold off the older rigs and equipment to make his department lean and mean. Left with an older Pierce engine, he took some of the funds and just ordered a new Pierce soon to be delivered. You may have seen the shot of him in a meeting with the rep.

With limited water supply, they have to disconnect the line, fill the tank, and return to the fire and hook back up, This is done several times and the danger is a large tree on fire that can fall on a building on the property. The fire is out, now, the task of downing the tree, not that easy...
The crew of Truck 11 out of Station #11 start their 48 with one of the members from the crew getting their "Fit Test" for their SCBA Mask, then, it's time for shopping. An added protein to tonights dinner, Rattle Snake, night falls, a call come in for a vehicle accident, it's the next call where the "jaw of life" are needed to extricate police officers from their cruiser.
Rescue 17 – a driver possibly on Heroin gets his high taken from him.
Station 17, roll-call. The young Probie, you've seen him in several early webisodes....arrives to his first real roll call. And as usual, just after roll-call... he's transferred to Station 10; we'll catch up with him later. So, we hang with Rescue 17's crew, EMS call to a muni-bus, next call, smoke at a restaurant. Night falls, a call comes in, it's a structure fire just down the street and who do we find at his first fire?
Night, after a long day, a call comes in, it's a structure fire, smoke showing, Engine 33 and Twoer 33 respond. The Deputy Chief is driving the engine, he stops at the hydrant, the Tower drives by and lands in the driveway of the structure. The pull lines, the enter the front door of the home, outside, they start to ventalite, the door is opened and we are inside the garage. After enough water has been used, the thermal imager camera is brought in to make sure that evey ember is out. Back at the station
The Squad 3 crew jump in the back of the Rescue as the head out the door to a call, it's a vehicle accident with a person trapped, later, they do some shoring training in the station, the, a call comes in for a collups, all respond.
Riding with Rescue 1 Downtown. This 24 starts with getting people out of a stuck elevator. Next, we visit the shop to pick up some parts. Lt. Joe Rainwater goes over procedures of stopping a fire. A call comes in for a fully involved fire downtown, just blocks away from the station, calls all day. Night, a call comes in for a fire showing in the upper floor of a Sechuan Gallery Chinese restaurant where illegally smuggled immigrants are suspected of living.
Night contiunes, Engine 33 responds, smoke showiing. At the end of the call, the Truck Co. leaves;says it's clear and safe, Deputy Chief Pat Mann followed his instinks and he saved the day. Chief Kelleher goes to D.C. to his othe job as a firefighter.
