We meet the Volunteer Firefighters of Company 33. This Department has firefighters that live "full-time" at the Station and respond to calls around the clock, some do it seven days a week. Both Scott and Maine live at the station. We start off with a firefighter that stumbled upon Kentland and became a Kentland man, next, a young firefighter from the State of Maine, they call him "Maine", Engine 33 responds to a smoke alarm.at a commercail building, Tower 33 arrives on-scene. The Crew trains with new recruits at the Washington D.C. Fire and EMS Academy, They get first hand experience with a thermal imager. Scott from Kentland shows us more about the unit. Back at the Station, we meet the Chief, another call comes in, then another, this is a very busy department. Young Maine runs a medical call in the Mini-Pumper.Night, the halls of this "Live-In" department, a call comes in, the Chief drives the rig to call. It's a food on the stove and watch the young volunteer run crazy trying to figure out what to do now that the camera is on him.
