TheBattalion.tv Firefighter Series - Fire, EMS, Rescue, Training

We started filming with the San Francisco Fire Department in 2003. It was our fight against prime-time television that drove us to the Internet. In 2007 we launched our series thinking it would only be one or two videos. In those days, you could put short videos on AOL, Google and Yahoo...then came this. This is the very first Battalion Series webisode. In those days we were only able to film until 11:00PM. It starts with the crews checking the rigs and the medical supplies, and an EMS call comes in. The engine company responds.

It's snowing in Columbus. This 24 is with Battalion Chief Devine, it starts off with a morning meeting, his upcoming retirement is on everyone's mind. The Chief drops in at one of the stations in his 3rd Battalion. A call comes in for a Structure Fire, the Chief, known to be a little heavy on the gas pedal, heads for the scene in his usual style of speeding. We arrive on scene to find a two-story brick single family dwelling with smoke pouring out of the doors and windows, the Chief is old-school, he does not put on his SCBA.
