Crissy Field, a windsurfer needs to be rescued. 7 minute response time for Rescue 2 to scene. They arrive on scene and jump into action.

A call comes in for a structure fire at a park, the Mini-Pumper is dispatched with only two firefighters. Upon arriving on scene, it's a huge vegetation fire. With limited water supply, they have to disconnect the line, fill the tank, and return to the fire and hook back up, This is done several times and the danger is a large tree on fire that can fall on a building on the property. The fire is out, now, the task of downing the tree, not that easy...

First call, Engine 27 crew responds to a "Smoke Showing" call, they arrive on scene to a fire in a basement, creosote is the cause. Next, they arrive on-scene to an auto accident. Later in the day, a call comes in, Squad 27, also a pumper/engine, heads out the door, the arrive on-scene; it's a structure fire in a negihboring township. The crew drag a line to a window, it's another basement fire. Lot's of basement fires in New Jersey.

Station 4 "C" Shift. The four man crew staffs the Tower Ladder Truck, The USAR Rig that is also used for Water Rescue; they wish they could be a combination station again. This 48 starts out with a the team going over the equipment necessary for finding victims of an earthquake that may be stuck under the rubble. Time to go shopping for chow for the next 48 hours and, back at the station, they cook their lunch. As busy as this station is, they still find time to exercise. A call comes in – its a big roll of something in the water canal, possibly a wrapped body.

This morning, Chief Kelleher and the crew clean the rigs, the get thrashed in the winter; a call comes in, it's supporting a Hazmat Incident at NASA; it's by invitation only, and even then, you can't just walk in.

Night, after a long day, a call comes in, it's a structure fire, smoke showing, Engine 33 and Twoer 33 respond. The Deputy Chief is driving the engine, he stops at the hydrant, the Tower drives by and lands in the driveway of the structure. The pull lines, the enter the front door of the home, outside, they start to ventalite, the door is opened and we are inside the garage. After enough water has been used, the thermal imager camera is brought in to make sure that evey ember is out. Back at the station

His day starts off arriving on-scene of a Toyota truck with a camper that had rolled over on the very curvy highway road not far from the Jenny Lind Station. With critical care hospitals so far away, most often a Helicopter must be called in to transport patients. The Chief of this mountain town is progressive with everything he does and a new heliport is on his agenda.
